Things I should have done:
- Put these up last week
- Taken pictures of the kids
My roommate is planning to go abroad next year, and I had to explain to her what a “party school” is. She thought it had to do with politics. Yay to American culture?
… hahaha
I typed out a whole post yesterday, but the internet was acting up and it got deleted. Soooo sorry if this one is a little half-hearted…
This weekend I went on a trip to a “village” of .9 million people called Zengcheng with a small group of other exchange students to teach English to kids. It ended up being a really fun trip, even though they probably didn’t actually learn anything from me at all. Mostly I just talked to the kids (about ages 15-18) and answered their questions. They really do love Lady Gaga!! We played games with them and taught them about our countries (America, Germany, and Korea). The teachers from the school were so nice and hospitable, one even invited us to her sisters house for homemade lunch! Overall, I am really glad I went :)
My OTHER (and even more satisfying) accomplishment of the week is that I finished my midterms! Yessss :) I am so relieved to get those babies out of the way.
Basically one more month of school until finals and then winter break!
Halloween shopping, typhoon coming, Henna Warriors Art Exhibition, learning Accounting, IBCE presentation (<3 Ray), Zengcheng postponed, illegal photocopying, haven’t been running, midterms looming, Homecoming weekend (wish I was there), VB swag, “BJ’s Diary” stopped with 10 mins left, ran out of lined paper.
Blehh, everyone’s in Taiwan!
Ma On Shan trail. Wasn’t expecting to see the cow things or the parasailers.
PS I yelled at someone in Chinese yesterday, and it was AWESOME! 0% effective, 100% satisfying.
Not a lot to blog about lately. Mostly this week I’ve been catching up on homework at the last minute, ignoring my Chinese class altogether, and trying to exercise (but not doing a very good job of it).
On the bright side, it’s been like Christmas for me lately, what with all the care packages that were delivered this week!! Thanks to Christine, my mama, and my GPBs Mandy, Kadee, and Lauren for making my week a lot more fun :)
Counting down the days until I can come home! Well, sort of. I still don’t know the actual date of my last exam. So counting down the days with an error of ± 5ish !!! Thanks, Hong Kong, for being so helpful and organized!
Obviously I haven’t been up to much this week. Statistics is a terrible excuse for a class.
USC v. Alabama this Saturday (Sunday AM for meee) GO COCKS!
